I am bothered with my baby's health because she is already 2y/o but her weight sticks to 10kg.  I already asked her pedia for  vitamins/food supplement and she gave her one. She's been using her vitamins for almost 2 weeks but she neither gain weight nor eat plenty.  Does this something to do with her G6PD defficiency?

Please help me.

Thank you and God bless!

HI

I have three sons, two of which have g6pd. My eldest son has some add issues that we are trying to help him with without the use of medication. I have been seeing a kineseoligist and we have recently done a hair tissue analysis which shows he has very high copper and zinc with low calcium and magnasium.

Are you aware of the effect of g6pd of any of these minerals in the the body.

kind regards

Rochelle

Hi all! I've recently moved to California from Melbourne Australia. I was diagnosed with G6PD at birth (or around that time) and have always taken Paracetamol as pain killers in Australia. Most common have been Panadol and Panamax.

For a bit of background, I am (besides my father) the healthiest person I have ever come across. I have never had any health issues or symptoms. I have had the flu 5 times my entire life, and if I get a mild sore throat or runny nose, it is gone within a matter of hours, or I build up a heavy sweat and symptoms are gone shortly after.

However, I do get lots of headaches. At least once or twice a week. To explain it better from a novices point of view, they are migranes on one side of the head with pain leading into the eye. If the pain is everywhere on my forehead, it seems more like I have a migrane on both sides of the head rather than a headache. I've had the headaches checked and nothing has been found. Normaly I have become so accustomed to them that I do not take anything for the, but once in a while, they can get incredibly severe meaning I need to take something for them. Now, sorry for my long post but here is my question finally. In Australia I took Paracetamol. In extreme cases 2 pills of 500mg each followed by another 2 in about half an hour. Most of the time 2 pills were more than enough. Is there anything similar in the US that I can take?

Also, going through the site, I looked at the inheritance chart and was curious about this: Father is UNAFFECTED, mother is UNAFFECTED. ALL of their children will be UNAFFECTED.

Both my father and mother are unaffected by G6PD. I know that if my grandfather on my mothers side ate broad beans he used to get really sick, however both my mother and father eat them with no side effects and they both take aspirin and other medications with no side effects. Can someone shed some more light into this and would it be wise for me to get checked again to determine that the diagnosis (which is 32 years old) is not wrong?

Thank you kindly for any and all info you can give, and my apologies for my long post.
