NAC – N-Acetyl Cystine
NAC is a supplement that does a lot of things. It helps keep the liver healthy for one. And for G6PDD, it helps make glutathione, an enzyme we are lacking. We have found it very helpful for behavioral issues such as ADHD which is common in people with G6PDD. We recommend 100 mg a day per year of age up to a maximum of 600 mg a day. Do not give before one year old.
It is best added to a small amount of pureed fruit like apple sauce. I use the bulk form because I don’t have to deal with removing the capsule.
All of the products on this page have been checked for being safe for G6ODD. But companies can change ingredients, so make sure you check them out.
Please make purchases through this page as we get a small percentage of the sale and it doesn’t cost you any more. It is an easy way for you to help us. Thank you.

Vitamin B complex
Vitamin B is necessary for the production of red blood cells and it is difficult to get enough from foods. Please remember that this is a supplement and not a replacement for vitamin b from foods. I recommend taking less than the recommended dose and eating a good balanced diet high in b vitamins.
Vitamin E that is not sourced from Soy is difficult to find. Here are a few that are safe as far as I can tell.
